Our Minster Priest is moving on
On Sunday 14th July 3.30pm there will be a Farewell/Thanksgiving service at the Minster as we say goodbye to Revd.Martin Anderson and Alison, Martha & Henry. After more than seven years with us, they will be moving to Norton in the Stockton Deanery of Durham Diocese, where Martin will be Priest in Charge of the parish of St.Michael & Angels and the parish of St.Mary. The licensing service with the Bishop of Jarrow will be held on Sunday 8th September from 3pm. “Already we’re looking forward to a new opportunity to live and work amongst the people of Norton, with a new baby on the way, and a new school for the children to settle into in the autumn. We’ve made some excellent friends in Sunderland, and so it’ll be good to be reasonably local. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as the Minster’s mission and ministry in the City develops and grows, and as the love of Christ continues to shape our life together in His service.”
