University Chaplaincy

University Chaplain

The University Chaplain is a member of the staff team at the Minster. The University Chaplaincy is involved in the life of the University at all levels and across all parts of the institution, offering:

  • Friendship
  • Support
  • Pastoral care
  • Advice on religious matters to both students and staff, regardless of any particular religious affiliation or none

Above all, the Chaplaincy team share with others in the University the concern that this should be a community which values the worth and dignity of each individual, and seeks to offer justice and fairness to all. The Minster is used for the main University Chaplaincy events, it welcomes students and their families on graduation day, and can also be made available (where appropriate) as a resource for student project work.
